Any individual, trained and certified by International certification providers such as FROSIO / SSPC / NACE / ICORR / BGAS or equivalent is known as Certified Coating Inspector or Painting Inspector. According to his coating experience he can pursue various levels of certifications (Level 1 or 2 or 3). Coating Inspectors are assigned in any small / medium / Large coating projects to work as a Painting or Coating Inspector in Quality Control or Quality Assurance department as per his contractual obligations with contractors or facility owners. QC Coating Inspector duties to to make observation, routine Inspection & Testing, Documentation and record maintaining in accordance project specific requirements. Any non-conformities if identified by QC Inspector, shall be rectified, re-inspected for closure of non-conformance report before inviting QA Inspector (Facility owner or Third party Inspector).
Coating Inspector or Painting Inspector (also known as Quality Controller) will work for Painting Contractors on hired or permanent basis.
Coating Inspector or Painting Inspector (also known as Quality Assurance (Third party) will work for Facility owners or Paint Manufacturers.
The same title of Coating or Painting Inspector works with various titles or roles according to contractual relationship with their employers.
